1. What cookies are
Cookies and local storage are small files kept on your device. We use both cookies and the browser's local storage (localStorage) to keep your session, remember preferences and, with consent, measure product usage.
2. Categories we use
Organized by purpose:
- Essential: needed to authenticate, keep the session and remember language and your consent choice. They require no consent and cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
- Product analytics (PostHog): only enabled after you accept in the banner. Without consent, it runs in anonymous, cookie-free mode (memory only).
- Error diagnostics (Sentry): error capture for stability; session recording only happens on error, with text and media masking.
We do not use advertising or ad-tracking cookies.
3. Main cookies and storage
- postarra_lang (essential): stores the chosen language. Duration about 1 year.
- postarra_consent (essential): stores your decision about analytics cookies. Kept in localStorage.
- Authentication session cookies (essential): keep your login active and secure.
- PostHog cookies/storage (analytics, subject to consent): identify the device to measure aggregate usage.
4. Consent and how to manage
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Without consent, no analytics cookie is stored. You may change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or using the cookie options when available; you can also block cookies in your browser settings, keeping in mind that essential cookies are required for the service to work.
5. Third parties
PostHog and Sentry act as processors and may set their own storage as described above, always aligned with your consent and the legal bases in the Privacy Policy.
